this converger tests the following ratio,

\[ \left|\mathbf{\dfrac{\Delta{}U^k}{\sum_{i=0}^{k}\Delta{}U^i}}\right|\leqslant{}tol. \]

where \(\mathbf{\Delta{}U^k}\) denotes the displacement increment of the \(k\)-th iteration.
